The Love of Christ

The Love of Christ

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Love of Christ

Welcomed in,

Palms strewn in His path.

His whole life leads to the day,

He comes without lack.

What’s on His mind?

Obeying His Father on High.

Knowing what He’s coming for…

To make things right.

Jerusalem, Jerusalem,

He’s come to give His Life.

His fate is sealed,

The Lord has come to die.

What’s on His mind

When riding in on the donkey?

Though He knows what’s in store,

He doesn’t turn back and leave.

He’s ready… He’s willing.

Along the way He contemplates…

Reflecting on His purpose,

Knowing that He is the Way!

“Who’s on His mind??”

Is a question that should be emphasized.

For God has sent forth… for us…

His love in Jesus Christ.
