Keep Shining

Keep Shining

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Keep Shining

Hold your head high,

For the sun continues to shine.

This ol’ world needs you

And all you do.

Yes, you have every right

To feel sad and hurt inside.

Just know that I’m here

To be a listening ear.

I hope you know

You’re not alone.

And that you find a home

Cradled inside hope.

Feel your pain,

And trust that God is still the same.

Go ahead and cry; it’s ok,

For tears cleanse the soul like an evening rain.

I believe in you,

You will get through.

Remember, when you’re weak on your own,

He is strong, just hold on.

I’m here for you

With a heart to cry to.

The light in you is bright,

Keep shining in HIS might.
