Fine StringsA Poem by Melinda McQueenFine Strings
Fine strings Hung loosely, They danced Quite profusely.
Left there Years ago, Still attached
A garment Of old Wasting away, Never told.
But there… The same. Its memory In place.
A time Of sadness Had yellowed The dress.
A dream Never bestowed. Yet still Lives its own.
Though forgotten, Still hanging Is hope Ever engaging.
Fine strings Hang loosely, Still dance Quite profusely.
