I Sit me Down

I Sit me Down

 

I sit me down

To write to the Lord.

I pour my heart

To give You more.

 

Rid my mind

Of all worries and cares.

Giving my words to the

One who is always there.

 

I sit me down

To hear from my Savior true.

For I am in need

Of the love from You,

 

Let all else fall away

As l I bask in Your sufficient grace.

For all that matters

Is found in Your Name.

 

I sit me down

To feast on the banquet of Your Presence.

Holy Spirit, live in me;

Speak to me in holy silence.

May the words I type

Bring You the praise You’re due.

And give me words

That tell of You.

My soul is grateful

For I have been eternity-found.

So, may You be exalted as

I sit me down.
