On the Tip of My Tongue

On the Tip of My Tongue

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

On the Tip of My Tongue

Your words

Here on the inside of me--

Inside my heart.

The Holy Spirit, my keep.

As You I seek,

I dwell in Your love.

May my praise ever be

On the tip of my tongue.

I call out to You,

And You hear, You listen.
Receptive to my cry,

Your very heart opens!

When my heart’s heavy

And I need a new song sung.

Your Word is

On the tip of my tongue.

I worship You--

God of highest Heaven.

Grateful beyond my words

To the One I believe in.

But with these typed words,

Let my praise and admiration linger.

All my love, all my honor

On the tips of my fingers.
