This Savior of Mine

This Savior of Mine

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

This Savior of Mine

Meet the One

Who shaped my life.

Who knows me

And in me, still resides.

Aware of all my faults,

He still has me in His sights.

The One who delivers me,

This Savior of mine.

I mess up,

I fall down and He picks me up.

I cry out, forlorn,

And He’s the filler of my cup.

Ever trustworthy,

He is always near and on time.

He inhabits my praise,

This Savior of mine.

He guides my path

By His well laid plans.

My hope and future

In His hands.

How grateful am I

That Jesus gave His life.

I want all to know

This Savior of theirs and mine.

Your poem is a beautiful testament to your faith and the profound impact that your relationship with Jesus has had on your life. The use of repetition and parallelism creates a sense of rhythm and momentum that reinforces the message of the poem, and the imagery of falling down and being lifted up again by your Savior is particularly powerful.
