Where did you go, my love?

I miss you so.

Do you hear my song sung

In that place you’ve gone?

 

Are you aware that I’m here

Remembering you still?

That I’m wishing you near,

And my thoughts you feel?

 

From me, you’ve been gone a long time,

But to you, is there a time lapse?

Do you not miss our love’s rhyme?

Oh what love we have!

 

Yes, yes, we shall be together again,

Our love’s dance never to end!
