When Jesus Fed the MultitudeA Poem by Melinda McQueenWhen Jesus Fed the Multitude John 6: 1-15
His
lunch was packed She
prepared the food The
lad, grateful for her supplying, Though
he could have never imagined
Seeing
His miraculous signs, Climbing
a hill, He sat with His disciples around, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these?” He tested Philip, for Jesus knew what it would be. Philip
replied, “Even if we worked months on end,
Then, Andrew spoke up and told, “There’s a young boy with two fish and five barley loaves. But what good is that with such a crowd?” Having it planned out, Jesus
knowingly readied Himself “Tell
everyone to sit down.” He said and they did so, Were they filled with hope?
Taking
the loaves, He gave thanks to God, Then,
likewise with the fish, Afterward,
He told his disciples to gather what was left Seeing the miracle, they exclaimed, “This is the Prophet whom we have been in wait!” When Jesus saw they were ready to force Him to be king of their own, He went to the wilderness to be alone.
O
what a miracle came to be, She
hadn’t a clue The
little boy’s lunch So,
be on the lookout,
