Draw Me a PictureA Poem by Melinda McQueenDraw Me a Picture
Draw me a picture, Show me what you see. Use colors vivid To share with me.
You say I should know, As I surely experience the same things. That I see the same moon and stars, And birds with soaring wings.
But I say to you, Yes, I’ve seen all these many a year, However, I haven’t seen a rose Through your eyes dear.
Write me a poem, String together pretty words. Tell me of your dreams, That you love me once more.
What do you think of This life we are creating together? Show me your emotions, Loving me all the better.
What do you see When you gaze into our future? Let me show you my love… I’ll draw you a picture.
