The Dreaming Heart

The Dreaming Heart

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Dreaming Heart

In the far away.

In the long-stretch reaches.

The dreaming heart’s

Sight unleashes.

In the now

It dares to see beyond the many walls.

At least for a time,

It only hears the call.

No boundaries,

No flashing dead-end signs.

It keeps beating,

Striving to come nigh.

In the laughter,

In the overwhelming tears.

It feels through the pain,

Through the fear.

Seeking a way,

It allows faith to take a stand.

Dancing to a tune,

It knows it can.

No road too long.
Or mountaintop too high

When you believe,

The dreaming heart thrives.

I agree dear Melinda.
"Seeking a way,
It allows faith to take a stand.
Dancing to a tune,
It knows it can."
I loved the above lines and I need the same things. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
