November's BreathA Poem by Melinda McQueenNovember’s Breath
A breeze rustles the leaves, Soft light spills from the sky. A long journey through a narrow path With trees now yellow and orange spy.
A crunching underfoot Somehow satisfying at best. A cool breeze kisses the face, November’s breath.
A sweater to warm As a comforting embrace. Sweet memories join In a silent walk where stresses fade.
A
large oak tree Just above its roots, Moved by November’s breath.
Like a ribbon dancing in a breeze, Time circles and passes in a glance. Birds of the air swoop in, Easily chirping in their own dance.
Breathing deeply, Creation folds her hands in rest. A long satisfying sigh" November’s breath.
