Wind at My Back

Wind at My Back

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Wind at My Back

Wind at my back,

Moving me along,

What ever shall I lack?

Sailing through the dark black

To get to where I belong.

Wind at my back.

Though here my body slacks,

Someday the Lord I will behold.

What ever shall I lack?

My Second Act

The Savior will bestow.

Wind at my back.

The Healer will come at last,

And will undo ev’ry wrong.

What ever shall I lack?

Holy Spirit, keep me on track,

I can’t do this on my own.

Wind at my back,

What ever shall I lack?

Hopeful and amazing words shared dear Melinda.
"Holy Spirit, keep me on track,
I can’t do this on my own.
Wind at my back,
What ever shall I lack?"
The above lines. I understand. Been saved often and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry my dear friend.

Thanks for reading and delighting me with your review.
Melinda this is such good imagery! I love the thought of the Holy Spirit as "the wind at my back." And the question asked, not with uncertainty but rather with faith, "whatever shall I lack."
I love your poetry!
