When the Forgiver ForgivesA Poem by Melinda McQueenWhen the Forgiver Forgives
Burdens heavy abundantly released, Giving way to a freedom aforetime Opening unto a grand life anew.
Chains in which were once tightly restricted, Now have become unloosened by the Light When the glorious Forgiver forgives.
Hearts awash new, shining as Christ’s delight, Faith fills vessels, His Spirit fills temples. The Redeemer redeems His so chosen.
His light radiantly shines through the world, Filling lives with His mercy and favor When the merciful Forgiver forgives.
Because grace has come with strength and power To show how to live victoriously, We have assurance, for He bore our sins.
Humbling Himself, Jesus became sin, So all may fully know deeply He loves When the beautiful Forgiver forgives.
