Crowns at His Feet

Crowns at His Feet

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Crowns at His Feet

The fountain flows from abundance on high,

Filtering down with God’s consuming love.

Raining from the storehouse set far above,

Coming usward to make ready the path.

Lavishing endless love on creation,

He sent the Light to consume darkness.

The Light which forever shines into hearts

Craving the healing touch of the divine,

Sheds forth across time and then beyond time.

Let the faithless believe in the power

Of the Savior’s saving, ultimate love.

O that all may cast their crowns at Jesus’s feet.

A grace irreplaceable, never done,

He created the way to lead to the Lord.

Let us be worshippers in love and truth,

Ever in communion with our great God.

Sing unto Him the glory due His Name,

Worshipping Him as crowns at His feet.

The very crown given to usward from

The King of kings, the same we shall lay--

Lay at the feet of Jesus, not counting

The loss, but the forever gain we have.

Forever shall we adore and worship,

Placing our God-given crowns at His feet.
