The Way, Glorious

The Way, Glorious

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The Way, Glorious

The way to the heavenly gates

Is eternally paved.

The treasure paid for

By the beloved Savior.

He came as a baby,

Born to set the world free.

With strength and might

Would God set things right.

The wise men followed the sign,

The star high in the sky.

God made it to be,

A glimmering light to lead.

A promise in motion,

The Lord showed devotion.

The plan set in place

Was seasoned with grace.

How glorious to see

The newborn baby.

How great the wise men must have felt

When at Christ’s side, they knelt.

The Way was before their eyes.

The Way had the three mesmerized.

The Way was God with us.

The Way is Christ glorious.
