The Christmas WishA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Christmas Wish
The little girl stood still,
Still, she waited in the cold, Bundled against the snow,
“Lord, please take care of my
mother, Like her, there could never be another,
“She asked what I wanted for Christmas, I know I can tell You though, for
You are joyous
“Mom also says the closer someone
is to You, So, here I am, standing on the highest
hill in my view
Moments later, her dad came, “There you are! I’ve been worried. Hey, guess what? Mom’s fever broke, she’s gonna be okay!” Throwing her arms around him, she cried warm tears… happy.
“Come on… she wants to see you.” he said. “Ok, may I come in a few? I have something to do.” “Sure,
Sweetheart.” he kissed her head,
Once
her dad was out of sight, I
want to thank You for answering in Your mercy and might…
