Blessed Child, Holy RedeemerA Poem by Melinda McQueenBlessed Child, Holy Redeemer
Blessed Child, born to the world, Perfect as could be. Tiny and sweet in His mother’s arms, He’d come to set us free.
To show the way, The bridge to the Father. The Light came down As the living water.
Blessed Child who grew into a boy Intent on doing the Father’s work, Lived to do His will. To get the Living Word.
Born to fulfill a promise, Jesus lived not for Himself, But for all the world Unto its great wealth.
Blessed Child, who grew in years Was the Son of God and man. Holy set apart To forever stand.
To show God’s love, He went about, ministering grace, That all who believe in Him Shall be saved.
Blessed Child, Holy Redeemer, Born to die, Risen to live. Ascended on high.
