Showing Butterfly Colors

 

A kaleidoscope of many colors

Floating upon a warm breeze find their peace.

Sailing upon a current which their wings

Were created for, soaring through the sky.

Butterflies freely come visit gardens

And be admired by anyone who sees them.

 

Gentle fluttering about in moments free--

Free for anyone who finds delight in such.

A world of wonder, delicate beings

Trek their existence through this life journey.

Knowing not fear, they fulfill their purpose,

Setting out along the path predestined.

 

An assortment of colors fill small wings

In quite different patterns and sizes.

Oh what beauty! when one sees butterflies.

Flying the gracious sky, yet come to feast

In the fellowship of the earthy ground…

Joyously reviving faith unto souls.

 

Fly on, you magnificent butterfly,

Shining the light that is your vibrant life.

Let your beautiful show to the whole world

By being just who you were created.

Tread forth the brilliant path you’ve been given,

For you never know who may need your light.

Butterflies represent spirituality for me. I often think of them as our dearly departed, paying us a visit. I could watch them for hours. Truly beautiful and so uplifting are those tiny creatures. They surely are a gift to us. So visual are your lines Melinda. Nice work.
