The Sneaky Sneeze WoesA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Sneaky Sneeze Woes
Uh oh… I feel it coming… The tickling in my nose. A warning that it’s inches away And about to explode!
It comes in times worst. No tissue in sight, I try to cover, But clearly, it doesn’t hide.
The pressure builds, Yet, it refuses to escape. It never comes when I’m ready, For goodness sake!
When I have a tissue And prepared, nothing comes. Just a tickle or an itch Begging to be scratched, to come undone.
The most calculating of sneezes Are the ones which threatens in worst times. It comes at dinnertime and tickles my nose Just after taking a bite!
A battle then ensues… Will I be able to control my nose? Or will I succumb to The sneaky sneeze woes!?!
