Her Fairytale DreamA Poem by Melinda McQueenHer Fairytale Dream
In
the tower she sat, She
had been there quite a while,
She’s
waited patiently To
save her from herself,
Sitting
alone, her mind adrift She
liked to think he was out there,
This
little dream dared she She
dreamt year by year
Waiting
in the window, Her
heart saw him leaping ov’r grassy hills,
In
brushing her hair, Desirous
to see the sight
One
glad day he came leaping to life He
had come to her rescue--
