Hasten the Glorious DayA Poem by Melinda McQueenHasten the Glorious Day
Hasten the glorious day, When the sorrows of this world end. When even night is the lighted way.
All souls shall gather in beautiful array, Ev’ry tongue shall confess, ev’ry knee, bend. Hasten the glorious day.
Doing so in words we say, Making known to ev’ry woman and gent, When even night is the lighted day.
For the day will no longer delay, Even the night shall shine therein. Hasten the glorious day.
Shine the light into today, As one knows not how many days lent. When even night is the lighted way.
Nothing hidden, all made straight, Life eternal shall begin. Hasten the glorious day, When even night is the lighted way.
