The Moon and Stars TestifyA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Moon and Stars Testify
The brightly lit moon Looks down from its heights, Pondering the great divide. What a hearty tune Is playing down there. All the rustling, All the bustling. Does anyone ever look up here?
The stars twinkle, Shining in turn without wrinkle. They wonder if anyone ever looks up To notice them shining down. What a commotion going on in the rut. Why no time to look up from down below?
The flowers grow With ev’ry shower. Knowing the full power Of the sky’s glory, They know their own story. Unflappable, they grow Whether noticed or not, they bestow Greatness without worry.
The moon and stars smile Their pure delight, Recognizing they’ll always shine Whether anyone notices or not. The moon and stars look up To the One who created them Knowing they’re His gems. To praise God is more than enough.
