A Sea of Love

A Sea of Love

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

A Sea of Love

How deep my love for you,

A depth beyond my reach.

A sea for you to ever delve into.

Everything you do

Hypnotizes the woman in me.

How deep my love for you.

Like a sunny day anew,

Your love shines my happy.

A sea for you to ever delve into.

Unto my soul, a truth

By which my love believes.

How deep my love for you.

A tantalizing perfume,

Love forever sweet.

A sea for you to ever delve into.

Let not your kisses be few,

Lest my heart be in need.

How deep my love for you,

A sea for you to ever delve into.

This line is great: "Your love shines my happy."
This feels like a villanelle with the repeating lines, which you do well without the repetition feeling onerous. Frankly, I love the way you've written every single line, so graceful, so sincere, but I just started getting a little tired of the repetition toward the end. That's just me (((HUGS)))

Yes it is a villanelle which is all about repetition. Thank you for reading. I appreciate you.
