Wedded in ChurchA Poem by Melinda McQueenWedded in Church (A Villanelle Poem)
A place where God dwells, Did we two come together as one, ‘Neath the sound of wedding bells.
The day marked well, With the going down of the sun. A place where God dwells.
His Presence fell Once the ceremony begun, ‘Neath the sound of wedding bells.
O how hearts did swell At the love which had won. A place where God dwells.
I finally wore my veil, Which of my dreams were among. ‘Neath the sound of wedding bells.
Our love was felt… A dry eye had none. A place where God dwells, 'Neath the sound of wedding bells.
