The Diamond Ring with Angel WingsA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Diamond Ring with Angel Wings
It
lived in jewelry box, A
memory ever there
It’s
been in her possession the day she would always carry inside her heart, ever to stay.
For like the jewelry box, her heart held the memory. Every
now and then,
It
was a beauty, Surrounding
the base
She smiled down at it now. It still means the world, as it
reminds her of him,
She
always wished
Though
he’s been gone many years when she opened her jewelry box and saw its delight.
She’s had a great life, blessed beyond measure to anything. But still, she finds herself basking in memories attached to the diamond ring with angel wings.
