The story of history

Falls on ears anew.

Spreading the word

Of what the USA has gone through.

 

Yesteryear is mentioned

On the nightly news.

Days of remembrance

Flood the tube.

 

Children learn in school

About World War I and II.

And of the attack on the Twin Towers

Do students learn of the doom.

 

It’s important to remember

And know what the USA has been through.

Though she’s strong,

Prayer, she could still use.

 

She’s stood tall

Through the decades.

Her resilience has shone

Brightly in its age.

 

Corona came and flexed its muscle,

Stealing beautiful lives.

Broken hearts, though we’re still strong,

Taking charge, healing on the rise.

 

Through it all…

Though many are filled with hate…

Rest assured in this…

The USA still prays!

I do think the majority still prays...
Others are lost in their own world of hate...what a terrible way to live, but really is that living?
