![]() The Little ThingsA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Little Things
It is in the little things That make life. The little things That make you want to try.
The sound of rain Singing on a tin roof. A single butterfly Floating on a breeze, aloof
The visit of a wave Washing a lone shore. Spying a rainbow in a blue sky Always plays a chord.
A kind word, A touch of a hand. Friends who come around, Or one friend who understands.
Life in all its glory, So much to behold. Yes, it can be hectic, But its beauty is ever told.
In times hard, Forget not the blessings Which are everywhere…. Even in the little things.
