In My Garden of FriendsA Poem by Melinda McQueenIn My Garden of Friends
In my garden of friends, Count I my blessings. For all have touched my life By their being.
They’ve gotten me through tough patches, Volunteering their hearts with seeds of care. Some have come to fulfill a need, And only for a time they were there.
For there are certain seasons In which they come. To share smiles and laughter Until their purpose is done.
In my garden of friends, There are special ones still. These are friends who stay Throughout life and times real.
So, no matter who you’ve
been-- Whether a time in need, watering friend, Or a friend long-lasting planted one-- Grateful am I for hearts lent.
In my garden of friends, I hope I am counted and dwell With pleasant memories In their gardens as well.
