Treasure
Over the sea
There lay a treasure.
Though she knew not what it
was,
Somehow, she knew its measure.
Though her eyes couldn’t see
it,
Her heart knew it was there.
Though far away,
It was in her care.
It sparkled, it shone,
Catching her attention.
The more she thought upon it,
The more she saw its
reflection.
For it was tucked safely
Inside of her.
Every breath she breathed
Was her lure.
Standing on the shore,
She caught a glimpse of her
treasure.
For she realized it wasn’t far
off,
But it was her faith, she was sure.
