A Powerful Life

A Powerful Life

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

A Powerful Life

To touch someone deeply…

To change someone’s world…

Is a gift given freely

From a heart of such worth.

A smile when needed,

A hug when hard times arrive.

Words of encouragement heeded

Presents a powerful life.

One never knows
Just how much a word or deed

Can touch and bestow.

You could be the answer to someone’s plea.

What a thought…

To be a remedy which soothes another’s strife,

And in the process, your own healing is brought.

What a powerful life!

A light into a world--

A world gone astray.

Be a pearl

That others find on their worst day.

A Man named Jesus

Came to live and die, then rose on high.

Picking up all our broken pieces

When He lived a powerful life!
