Gate-KickersA Poem by Melinda McQueenInspired by a revival sermon.Gate-Kickers
Times in life Are filled with sorrow and strife. Many are seeking something In which to sing.
A need so strong, Casting a shadow long. Someone’s in need Of a Gate-Kicker indeed.
A heart
to care-- Care enough to share The Good News of Jesus Christ, So true hope will rise.
To deliver the captive from utter doom Into God’s Presence of truth. To go out to save, Gate-Kickers help break chains.
Being a light in the darkness, Going where you’re called, to relieve distress. Light the torch And bring them to God’s front porch.
He came to set us free, And by His Spirit are we free indeed. Let His Light mightily flicker, As we become more like the true Gate-Kicker.
