The Lone LionA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Lone Lion
Strength in His gait, Certain in His ability. Knowing His fate To set captives free.
Striding with power, His feet poised not to slip. He knew the hour When heaven’s curtain would rip.
Roaming the earth, Seeking evil to devour. Love nursed When His ultimate love showered.
His glory could not be tamed, Nor His will doused. For His incredible fame Could not be canceled out… but aroused!
The One and only Lover of heaven and earth. Come to set us free As true love birthed.
His journey took Him far from Home, An incorruptible “Zion” Where He now hails from His Throne As the lone Lion. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
