Joy in the RainA Poem by Melinda McQueenJoy in the Rain
A dreary day With skies of grey. Rain falls in crystal sheets, Bursting as the ground it greets.
Darkness awkwardly covers As heavy clouds hover. Suspended half-mast, The rain pours without lack.
A steady fall, Giving its all. Thunder here, Lightning there.
A storm in the heart rage When things have their own way. When nothing goes right. When there seems to be no light.
Then finally, you look up And peeping through the clouds is the sun. The rain from heaven pours And you enjoy it once more.
Though there are days dark, The clouds will part. Trust God through the pain By finding joy in the rain. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
