Dreaming of a White Dress

 

Oh the excitement that fills the heart

Of every woman dreaming of her special day.

The day she has waited for

Since knowing how to dream of fate.

 

Preparing for a long time,

Expectations build, her joy can’t be suppressed.

Her hopes are high,

Dreaming of a white dress.

 

Plans fill her mind

As the day nears.

Wanting all to be just right

For the day she holds dear.

 

She can hardly wait to walk to her groom, her man,

Who will soon vow to give her his best.

Until he takes her hand,

She’s dreaming of a white dress.

 

With a ring to symbolize forever,

She will love him completely.

She dreams that their love will weather

Life’s raging sea.

 

One day, I too, will extend my hand,

And my Jesus will make everything right.

For in His glory I shall stand

As He dresses me in pure white!
