Once Upon a ButterflyA Poem by Melinda McQueenOnce Upon a Butterfly
Fluttering on a breeze, The butterfly flew with ease. Knowing its flight Depended on pure might.
From its cocoon, It began its search of its truth. Breaking forth to rise, Once upon a butterfly.
With colorful outstretched wings, It knew its being. Aware of its call, It had believed in all.
Having dreams only it could see, And knowing that the only way to greet… Was to soar high. Once upon a butterfly.
Dreams take flight When you believe with all your might. So, spread your wings of faith And wait upon grace.
Now, rest O soul, For only God knows The heights of the sky, Once upon a butterfly. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
