An Umbrella Kind of FaithA Poem by Melinda McQueenAn Umbrella Kind of Faith
It pours down As anxious thoughts crowd. Beating down upon my head As my heart is as heavy as lead.
The rain keeps pouring And my dreams are still snoring. O Lord, grant me this day, An umbrella kind of faith.
Though life’s thunder crashes And my hopes, it dashes, I rest beneath the shelter of Your love Where I am enough.
When fiery darts come, May Your will be done. Protect and guide me along the way… An umbrella kind of faith.
A steadfast safety Have you given to me. A shield like no other, A state of grace and wonder.
Lord, I’m turning my umbrella inside out So I am able to receive the blessings You pour down. For You have given… in Your grace… An umbrella kind of faith. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
