My Tears in His HandsA Poem by Melinda McQueenMy tears in His Hands
Falling down, As my heart pounds. Flooding my soul, tears surround Until nowhere to go, they’re found.
Seeping through my eyes, Refusing to hide. Too much to keep inside, My tears in His hands reside.
He feels my pain And knows their name. For my tears weigh On scales each day.
Too much to handle on my own, Let me take it to my Lord’s throne. There is surely a river that flows, Carrying my tears into His hands in droves.
Trusting Him to heal my broken heart, To glue back the pieces, part by part. He hears my cry in the dark And loves me as from the start.
How much I hurt, only He could understand, For under heaven, there is no man Who could make me believe in love again… But my Lord, who holds my tears in His hands. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
