She Dreams of RosesA Poem by Melinda McQueenShe Dreams of Roses
She dares to dream. As far as her eyes can see, And further does her faith believes.
Though
water is all around Her heart secretly poses; She dreams of roses.
Closing her eyes to the roaring waves, Insisting on seeing through faith, She calls forth her desires, As her heart catches fire.
Looking with her heart, instead of her eyes, She feels her hopes rise. Looking beyond her limited shore, She dreams of roses once more.
She sees the garden in her heart Springing to life from the dark. Hoping it is meant to be, Its truth she longs to see.
A rose of faith. A rose of grace. A rose love. A rose of enough.
Sitting on the edge of her seat, For her chair is her sea, Her heart openly poses; She
dreams of roses.
