The Call of the HeartA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Call of the Heart
It sees through the dark Even when you forget who you are. It knows its truth Even when it’s not in view.
Having no choice But to listen to its voice, It ignites
a spark;
Yes, it sees through the muck, And has steadfast faith when doubt tries to triumph. It hopes for the best Even in distress.
Though the world screams “No!”, It whispers, “There’s hope!” So your dreams continue to embark; The call of the heart.
It calls through the mightiest of storms. It calls through the loudest of alarms. It calls within the scariest of fears. It calls in the presence of tears.
Unleashing impossible dreams, Waiting until they are brave enough to be. Determined to have their say, their part… The call of the heart. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
