Over The StarsA Poem by Melinda McQueenOver The Stars
He commands waves to cease, And tells them when to begin again. He causes the day to be, And tells it when to end.
My dreams are bigger than me, Yet somehow they fit within my heart. Will they ever be? Or are they lost somewhere over the stars?
Lofty and high, Some may think it silly. But it’s a glimmer in my eye That I have dared to let myself see.
Breathing in and out, My rise and fall are in His arms. This spirit within me cries aloud, Making its way over the stars.
Lighting a dark sky, He ignites the spark. Shedding a light; God over the stars.
Though I know not Where my life leads, I know blessings are in stock, For
His grace is over me.
