Beautiful Story

 

Once upon a time

There was a girl

Who wanted more out of life,

To see the world.

 

Setting out in search,

She longed to see

Where the journey would take her.

She wanted a beautiful story.

 

While she knew all too well

That it may not come true...

For real life is no fairytale.

Yet she wanted to see it through.

 

Having dreams as big as anyone’s,

She dared to believe.

Standing in a hopeful sun,

She called out to her beautiful story.

 

“Come to me.” she heard herself say

Even though she knew not

How it would ever come her way,

Her dream refused to stop.

 

Lifting her eyes,

She gave God the glory.

For the dream inside

Was her beautiful story.
