She Hangs onto the MoonA Poem by Melinda McQueenShe Hangs onto the Moon
She reaches for the stars For she dares to defy Limitations life tries to impart.
Searching as far as she can, She knows there has to be a way To have her dreams take a stand.
She hangs onto the moon, Hopeful her dreams manifest Into her ultimate truth.
High in the sky, Her faith lifted up, Her enduring hopes rise.
She hangs onto the moon, Believing somehow, someday, That her dreams will come into view.
For she looks beyond the twinkling stars Knowing that her answers lie higher Than the sky could ever embark.
High up, she doesn’t look down in gloom At all of life’s circumstances, But rather, she hangs onto the moon. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
