My Night Light

My Night Light

 

When all’s dark

And gloom fills my heart,

You shine your light,

Revealing Your might.

 

When I’m unable to see what’s ahead,

By Your hand am I led.

In the midst of my strife,

You are my night light.

 

I know You hold the key

To all that happens to me.

A light glowing,

A river flowing.

 

When my heart is filled with uncertainty,

Your love comforts me.

Even in my plight,

You, Lord, are my night light.

 

All day long,

You are my heart’s song.

May I shine Your mercy

In all I am to be

 

Have Your way,

Your say.

God of my life,

My night light.

It is in deep prayers in the middle of the night
That one discovers the strength of their faith in god
Depicting all that occurs in life
In darkness we remember the light of god
serving our very soul to utter happiness
