With a smile I remember you

And all the sweet things you would say and do.

Ever in my heart,

As in my life you had an astounding part.

 

I’m thankful there was you

To share love true.

I remember you everyday,

But especially on your birthday.

 

Your memory I keep

On the inside of me.

I go on,

But remember you as a song.

 

I loved you back then,

And I love you still, with a love never to end.

Special in every way,

How could I not remember you, especially on your birthday.

 

Though I wish you were here,

Your love is ever near.

Yes, I smile in remembrance

Of our love dance.

 

There are times

When tears fill my eyes.

For I miss you always…
