Entertaining AngelsA Poem by Melinda McQueenEntertaining
Angels
A smile, a wave, A warm “Hello”. A helpful word to sustain, A lifter of a head hung low.
Everyone you meet Has a special force. A reason to greet; Entertaining angels along your course.
The homeless man walking the road, Who longs for eye contact. The girl in the grocery store who’s trying to hold on… Both to her tears and the baby on her back.
The stories many, Hurting souls desperate to be noticed. So many in need; Entertaining angels cherished.
Always have a ready smile, Helpful words that minister, Feet that go the extra mile, And a soft reply even to the stern.
For you never know with whom you speak, So be quick to listen and slow to anger. Who knows… you just may be Someone’s entertaining angel. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
