My Spiritual KneesA Poem by Melinda McQueenMy Spiritual Knees
Lord, I come to You With a heavy heart. Fighting the fight in all I do, You never leave me in the dark.
You deserve all the praise And all the glory. Please accept my worship when I pray From my spiritual knees.
I lay my heart, my life, in Your hands, Knowing that whatever I go through Is making me strong enough to withstand. Ever reminded of Your truth.
The faster the water flows, The stronger it believes. Yet, the more I’m stilled, the more I grow, On my spiritual knees.
With a heart bowed, I long to be in Your Presence. To share with You somehow, My awe of Your essence.
Though I don’t feel strong, And my physical knees are weak, I know I forever belong On my spiritual knees. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
