The Umbrella of GodA Poem by Melinda McQueenRain comes down, In large amounts. The rains of life Leave you wondering if you’ll survive.
There’s a place to go Where you can relinquish control. It’s the shelter from life’s storm, The umbrella of God keeps the spirit warm.
A refuge when times are rough, A covering when you’ve had enough. A resting place when weary, A safe haven when your prayers are set free.
Setting over you, It protects you in His truth. Enfolding you in His grace, The umbrella of God eases pain.
The more He is magnified, The bigger the umbrella is in our lives. The covering steeper, The peace within, deeper.
Set the umbrella high and wide, For He is to be glorified. A question of every girl and fella Should be… “How big is my umbrella?” © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
