Love's Triumphant WaveA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe sun was just right, Barely visible, descending for the night. She could see its faint glow As the waves washed it into the unknown.
Where has life taken her? She felt the question burn Like an ember refusing to go out, Or a weighty overcast cloud.
She can’t help but to wonder The things her heart ponders. Just where would she be If there were still “he”?
Missing him more with each wave, The sea roared just the same. A connection between the two Evident in all truth.
Flooding her… were memories Of being loved completely. As a sun bowing down, His love is still found.
Through the crashing waves of the sea Can she hear inside her very own plea. Yes, she still feels and tastes Love’s triumphant wave. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
