Far and near

You are here.

In the heart of me

Your memory keeps.

 

Like a rising tide

Or a bird flying high,

My love for you soars

Until I can’t love you more.

 

To dream of you I pray

At the end of every day.

To fill my heart’s eye

With your sweet face each night.

 

I close my eyes

And you I see in this heart of mine.

Memories of you I store

Until I can’t love you more.

 

The passage of time

Does nothing to divide

The thoughts I have of you,

Nor does it make my love less true.

 

With a grateful heart,

I’m pleased to have this art

To touch you somehow… someway…

Until I can’t love you more today.

A love so deep can seem like it has reached its zenith, it's brightest star. But the beauty of love is that one can go on thinking that this is the case only to come to a point of change, a change of circumstances that brings one to a point of love even more pronounced, more resounding.
