When I SmileA Poem by Melinda McQueenThinking of you Always brings back memories. Still strong and true, Like an unbridled breeze.
Remembering the times You made me feel loved and valued Sends a feeling to this heart of mine. When I smile, I’m thinking of you.
For you once made my imperfect life complete In simply loving me as I am. You are my heart’s memory When I’m feeling down. Which I keep protected as my own. A lonesome heart almost cured When I smile; I’m not alone.
Your words I still hold In the deepest part of my heart. Like the purest of gold, Precious as from the start. Even so, my heart morns Though five years have come around, In my heart there’s still a storm When I smile… upside down. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
